For Adoptees

Adoptees aren't just welcomed here, this space was made for us. Part of our mission is to support and empower adopted people to speak up and be validated that their voice, their story are valuable and deserve to be centered in the conversations about adoption.

Holding Space MN Adoptees.png

In light of what is happening here in Minnesota, we are Holding Space for Adoptees by hosting a virtual space for BIPOC international/intercountry adoptees here in Minnesota. All BIPOC international/intercountry adoptees are welcome to attend with our focus being on those most impacted by raids, attacks, and state sanctioned violence here in Minnesota. This gathering is to offer support to one another surrounding fears and uncertainties of what it means to be an emigrant and immigrant, from and to countries not offering answers, safety, or acknowledgement.

Our next meeting is Saturday, January 31st at 10am CST. At the meeting time, click HERE to be redirected to the Zoom waiting room.

*This is not legal advice or a replacement or supplement to mental health services or therapy. There will be a moderator, but this is an open meeting and privacy cannot be guaranteed, meaning we will not know the attendees in advance. However, these spaces will not be recorded and no information about the attendees or the meeting will be disclosed by Sando Wellness. Attendees agree not to record, document, or share anything about the group or the other participants to others outside of the group.

Women's Empowerment Group for Adoptees of the Asian Diaspora
(aka WEGAAD)

WEGAAD is currently on hiatus! Register below for updates and stay tuned.

WEGAAD stands for the Women's Empowerment Group for Adoptees of the Asian Diaspora. This group is meant to hold space for Asian Adoptee women and femmes to connect, relate, empower, and celebrate who we are. While aspects are like a support group, the main goal is to inspire one another and have frank discussions about the challenges we face being Asian in Minnesota, being an adopted person, being an adult.
