COUNSELORS & THERAPISTS

Our counselors and therapists foster equity, empowerment, and collaboration with one another which translates into higher quality service and outcomes for our clients. We pride ourselves in being a small business which allows us the ability to truly meet people where they are at and individualize each client session.

LYNN MYKYTYN, MA LADC LPCC

I use a positive psychology approach, identifying what is right with us in order to support and motivate change away from the areas of our life that no longer serve us. I believe that mental health has to do with our whole self; something that cannot simply be captured in a diagnosis and that traditional Western clinical therapy practices don't always work for everybody. I specialize in working with adults on issues related to anxiety, depression, addiction, and grief, as well as identity and adoption.

If you are interested in working with me, I offer a no-charge 15-minute consultation. Contact me at lynn@sandowellness.com or complete the contact section below to schedule.

My clients often describe me as warm, kind, and compassionate. I am an intuitive listener with a calm presence. I strive to cultivate a non-judgmental space where clients feel safe, respected, validated, and heard.

My approach to therapy is holistic and focuses on the unique needs of each individual. I draw from different modalities such as Person-Centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, somatic-based practices, and trauma-informed methods to increase awareness, facilitate change and help clients take steps toward healing.

My focus in therapy is to start by meeting clients where they are mentally and emotionally. You are the expert in your life and your lived experiences are important. Consider me a trained collaborator who will help to explore what is holding you back, help to identify your strengths, assist with setting and achieving goals, and empower you throughout your healing journey.

I work with adults dealing with anxiety and depression. I have a specific interest in supporting individuals who identify as women, college students (both traditional and adult learners), and individuals navigating transitions or experiencing burnout.
